2. Usage
1.Construction Paint:
Silica sol is a bonding and film forming agent used in inorganic macromolecule construction paint. This kind of paint is water-resistance, pollution-resistance, frame-resistance and weatherability.
2. Fine Casting:
Silica sol is an excellent adhesive in casting shell with the advantage of low cost, simple process, high shell strength and high degree of finish.
3. Refractory Material and Ceramics:
Silica sol is an excellent adhesive for refractory material, heat insulating material and refractory fiber with strong adhesive and 1200 ℃ high temperature resistance.
4. Papermaking:
By using silica sol in the papermaking processing, silica will fill the gap of the surface of the paper. So, the paper will be more smooth and high boldness, also will easy to be photosensitized and exposed. Mixing with glycerol, silica sol can be used as an anti-adhesive in the production of cellophane.
5. Textile:
Silica sol can be used as a sizing agent of wool spinning. Because silica has surface hydroxyl function, and using silica sol treating fiber will make it be hydrophilic, non static electricity and low dust-extraction. Silica sol is also an adhesive of static electricity flock finishing.
6. Others:
Silica sol can be used as the raw material of silicon steel plate and carrier of petroleum catalyst. It can also be used as the adhesive of color display tube, coagulant of colloid accumulator, clarificant of wine and anti-sliding aid of floor wax.
